Using the myMenu button on the main toolbar you will find your characters under the myCharacters tab
- Adding gallery items to posts
To add a picture from your gallery to a post in the forum click on the image required.
Close the full screen view by clicking on the image or by pressing esc.
Copy and paste the image url that is displayed and then paste this into the [img] tag in the post.
Alternatively using the full reply form use the url with the insert image button on the toolbar.
You sould see a new button on the main toolbar next to this help button.
Click the new button and the new news item form will appear.
New items are automatically hidden, once you're happy with the post you need to select the option to make it visible
You can either type your text into the editor window that is displayed on the news item
or you may click the full screen view button on the editor toolbar.
It should be noted that the default view will crop most of the text and image to fit on the news page
the rest of the text will be visible when the to know more button is clicked.
You should type into the small editor what you wish to be seen on the news page and then the rest of the article on the full screen view.
This way you will have a tidy news post. You can also add a link to a forum page here.
If you click on the forum topic in the active topics pane you will get the full link url to that topic in the addres bar.
- Adding a news item background
Each news item should have a background image.
On the mini toolbar that appears above the news editor form you will see an image button.
This brings up a window where you can add and or select an image to insert as your news background.
Background images should be sized to 630px width by 288px high. Anything over this size will be cropped on the bottom and right.
To add an image to a news item you can click the image button on the editor toolbar and insert an image from the public gallery.
To do this once you have the gallery open simply drag and drop the image into the editor window.
To add an image from another source or your private gallery right click the editor background and select the add/edit image option.
Once the image is added you can size it or move it as you like.
